Impetus: Based on more than 30 years of research and hands-on work with corporations and professional firms, Catalyst believes that flexibility is a key component in women’s recruitment, retention, and advancement.
Researchers interviewed and held roundtable discussions with human resources representatives from 16 corporations and 15 professional firms with nationally recognized experience with workplace flexibility.
Findings: Catalyst creates a four-pronged approach to flexibility which consists of building organizational support, supporting managers and users, internalizing the practice, and sustaining the commitment.
