Corporate Board Services Partners
Catalyst is proud to partner with the following organizations, which share our goal of increasing the number of women on corporate boards. Alliance for Board Diversity and Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace (EOWA) produce annual censuses of women in leadership and are also Catalyst Census partners. All three are among the many groups with which Catalyst maintains relationships.
American Bar Association (ABA)—DirectWomen, an innovative initiative of the ABA and Catalyst, is the only program specifically designed to identify, develop, and support a select group of accomplished, senior women attorneys to provide qualified directors needed by the boards of U.S. companies, while promoting the independence and diversity required for good corporate governance. In addition, DirectWomen awards the Sandra Day O'Connor Board Excellence Award to women lawyers who have served with distinction as independent directors of public companies and have worked to advance the value of diversity in board positions.
Alliance for Board Diversity—This collaboration between Catalyst, The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), and Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP), with the support and guidance of The Prout Group, produces the Women and Minorities on Fortune 100 Boards report every two years. This report details the number of Fortune 100 board seats held by whites, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, and Hispanics by gender. The Alliance acts a central resource for any company or organization which is interested in finding qualified women and minority men board candidates.
Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA)—EOWA uses Catalyst’s methodology to count the number of women in Australian corporate leadership, at the corporate officer level, and in the boardroom.
