Expertise | Biography
Emma Sabin works with companies and firms to create business-driven diversity strategies with a focus on the advancement of women. As part of this work, she has guided national and global workplace assessments that established both the business case and strategy for increasing leadership diversity. She has served a wide range of professions and industries, including sales, engineering, accounting, and financial services, heavy manufacturing, energy, consumer products, and food retailing. She was a lead researcher and co-author for the Women in Engineering: An Untapped Resource and Knowing the Territory: Women in Sales Catalyst studies. Ms. Sabin is an ongoing contributor to Diversity & Inclusion 101, a resource for implementing programs, and she has also served on and acted as the Chair of the Catalyst Award Evaluation Committee.
Ms. Sabin gained marketing and brand management experience as a brand manager while at J. Walter Thompson and as a brand tracking analyst at Nickelodeon. While at Portico Research, a market research firm, Ms. Sabin conducted ethnographies and created communications strategies based on consumer insights. Ms. Sabin graduated from the State University of New York at Purchase, where she concentrated in Economics, and received her M.S. in Social Research from Hunter College with a co-focus on Marketing and Public Policy Research.
