Catalyst 50th Anniversary Celebration

Recognize Your Place in History and Shape the Future for Women and Work
In 2012, Catalyst celebrates 50 years of expanding opportunities for women and business. We commemorated the occasion on March 28 and 29 at the Waldorf=Astoria in New York City with a series of extraordinary events.
Catalyst Awards Conference
In recognition of Catalyst's 50th anniversary, the annual Catalyst Awards Conference was held over two days and was sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company and Walmart.
Wednesday, March 28: Conference attendees, an engaged group of executives, line managers, diversity and inclusion practitioners, and leaders and members of women’s employee resource groups (ERGs), examined the advances made by women in the workplace—past, present, and future—through expert sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Activities highlighted the value of women board directors, ERGs, the support of male champions, and other change drivers. The evening featured an invitation-only Founders Reception sponsored by General Motors Company and IBM Corporation.
Thursday, March 29: Attendees learned about the 2012 Catalyst Award-winning initiatives from Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Sodexo at a plenary session featuring the CEOs of the winning organizations and at more intimate sessions with the people responsible for building and executing the initiatives.
Catalyst Awards Dinner
James S. Turley, Catalyst Awards Dinner Chair, Catalyst Board Chair, and Chairman and CEO of Ernst & Young, as well as the CEOs of Catalyst Award-winning organizations and more than 2,000 corporate leaders gathered in the Grand Ballroom and the Starlight Roof to celebrate the 2012 Catalyst Award-winning initiatives and 50 years of Catalyst work. The dinner, sponsored by PepsiCo, Inc., and Shell Oil Company, was a spectacular gala for champions of women's leadership.
