A cross-section drawn from our research types, Catalyst Metrics quantify women’s experiences in business through rigorous data-gathering and analysis. The results allow us—and you—to track trends and establish benchmarks that can be reviewed over time. Census: The Catalyst Censuses of women board directors, corporate officers, and top earners of the Fortune 500 and the FP500 track women’s progress in business leadership. The Catalyst Census of Women Board Directors of the Fortune 500 has been published annually since 1995, excepting 2000, 2002, and 2004. The Catalyst Census of Women Corporate Officers and Top Earners of the Fortune 500 has been published annually since 1996, excepting 2001, 2003, and 2004. In Canada, the Catalyst Census of Women Board Directors of the Financial Post 500 was published in 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007; a Canadian Census of women board directors based on a different methodology was published in 1998. The Catalyst Census of Women Corporate Officers and Top Earners of the Financial Post 500 was published in 2002, 2004, and 2006.  In addition to our own Censuses, we include censuses published by our Census Partners and Friends.

Catalyst Member Benchmarking Report: This report assesses the scope of diversity and inclusion programs, practices, and initiatives at Catalyst member organizations. It provides aggregated results, including workforce statistics analyzed by global region and race/ethnicity, as well as password-protected access to interactive comparisons with all participants, industry peers, and Catalyst Award winners. The report is based on an annual survey, in which Catalyst collects data on diversity from participating members; it has been published annually since 2001, excepting 2004.

Business Case: These reports demonstrate how gender diversity is linked to financial performance.
