Amelia Costigan has been a member of the Catalyst Information Center since 2011. In addition to answering reference questions from members, the media, academics, and the public, Ms. Costigan has also worked on numerous IC products. She was involved in creating a line of India specific papers including: First Step: India Overview, India: The legal Framework for Women and Work, India: the Case for Gender Diversity. Additionally she co-authored First Step: Mexico Overview, as well as three interactive toolkits Making Change in India Inc. addressing three sociocultural barriers facing women in India today. Ms. Costigan also serves on the Catalyst Award Evaluation Committee. She is a member of the Work-life Effectiveness Issue Specialty Team. She co-authored a blog on working flexibly after hurricane Sandy and most recently a blog on India’s passage of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act.
Prior to joining Catalyst, Ms. Costigan worked as an art director with a focus on strategic content creation in the non-profit sector. Ms. Costigan received her MLS from St. John’s University, her M.F.A. from Queens College and her BA in English Literature from Boston University.
