Jennifer Kohler consults with companies and firms in the areas of diversity and inclusion, with an emphasis on the advancement of women. Ms. Kohler has worked with global companies across a range of industries, including pharmaceuticals/health care, financial services, and technology, providing strategic guidance and customized solutions while also building internal capability with clients.
Ms. Kohler also leads Catalyst’s new member service, Vital Signs, focused on accelerating diversity insights and impact through workforce data. She has co-authored various Catalyst research reports, including Sponsoring Women to Success and Women and Men In Capital Markets, An Action Plan for Gender Diversity. Ms. Kohler also serves on the Catalyst Award Evaluation Committee and has given speeches and facilitated workshops on a range of subjects, including unwritten rules, work-life effectiveness, and mentoring and sponsorship. She is a former co-leader of Catalyst’s Work-Life Issue Specialty Team, and externally is a member of the Work and Family Researchers Network Outreach and External Affairs Committee
Prior to coming to Catalyst, Ms. Kohler received her MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, where she conducted research on work and family issues. She co-authored an encyclopedia entry regarding the “opt-out” phenomenon for the Sloan Work and Family Research Network. Prior to graduate school, she was an Analyst with Goldman Sachs in its Human Capital Management division and also worked for the Mental Health Association of Essex County. Ms. Kohler received her BA from Cornell University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa and was named a Merrill Presidential Scholar.
