Mary N. Boughton is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build Catalyst’s presence in the Western United States and Australia. Working in Sunnyvale, California, she recruits, develops, and supports Catalyst member organizations by making them aware of Catalyst resources, and by organizing and conducting events on topics related to Catalyst research, that include women in leadership, women’s contributions to corporate financial performance, workplace challenges for diverse women, LGBT, and work-life effectiveness. She also speaks frequently about Catalyst to a variety of audiences.
Ms. Boughton spent 14 years in sales at CompuServe Network Services, Inc. which is now affiliated with Verizon. She then joined Accenture, where she focused on researching and presenting opportunities for new client engagements. In 2002, Ms. Boughton elected to bring her passion, corporate experience, and business skills to nonprofit management. Prior to joining Catalyst in 2008, she served as Executive Director for Career Closet, an organization that assists women returning to the workforce in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Ms. Boughton also served as Executive Director for Peninsula Habitat for Humanity (now known as Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco), an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Ms. Boughton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Santa Clara University.
