As a member of Catalyst’s Global Member Services team, Sylvia Apostolidis has delivered numerous advisory engagements, workshops, events, and speaking engagements, providing business-driven advice to create diverse and inclusive workplaces. Working across industries, her areas of expertise include cultural assessment and strategy development, leadership engagement, sponsorship, and work-life effectiveness.
Ms. Apostolidis co-authored Women and Men in Canadian Capital Markets: An Action Plan for Gender Diversity (2012) and was lead author of Catalyst’s Reports to Women in Capital Markets: Benchmarking 2005 & 2008.
Since joining Catalyst in 2005, Ms. Apostolidis has led the development and implementation of strategies to build Catalyst’s presence and membership base in Canada. She led the launch of Catalyst Canada’s signature event, The Catalyst Canada Honours.
Ms. Apostolidis began her career as an entrepreneur. After bringing her company to a market leadership position, she worked in marketing and business development capacities before pursuing a career in talent management. She specializes in building diverse and inclusive workplaces and is passionate about women’s equality for stronger businesses, economies, and societies.
Ms. Apostolidis holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, an MS from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Sociology from The University of British Columbia.
