NEW YORK (November 14, 2013)—Catalyst announced today that Ilene H. Lang, President & CEO of Catalyst, and Peter Voser, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Shell plc. and Chair of Catalyst’s Board of Directors, will co-chair the 2014 Catalyst Awards Dinner.
Each year, Catalyst honors outstanding initiatives that have a measurable impact on the advancement of women in business with the Catalyst Award. It will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at The Waldorf Astoria in New York, following the day-long Catalyst Awards Conference, also at the Waldorf.
Catalyst will pay special tribute at the 2014 Dinner to Ms. Lang, who will step down in January after 10 years as Catalyst’s President & CEO.
“Under Ilene’s outstanding leadership, Catalyst enhanced its commitment to expanding opportunities for women and business, grew its prestigious Award globally and extended its reach in many regions throughout the world,” said Catalyst’s current COO, Deborah Gillis, who will succeed Ms. Lang as President & CEO in January. “We are pleased that she and Peter Voser are co-chairing the 2014 Catalyst Awards Dinner and we honor her dedication to creating change for professional women.” Of Mr. Voser, Ms. Gillis said, “Mr. Voser has demonstrated unparalleled support to advancing talented women within Royal Dutch Shell plc. and in the corporate world at large. As Chair of Catalyst’s Board of Directors, he is a strong ally of women in business and we appreciate his dedication to our mission.”

Under her leadership, the Catalyst Awards Dinner has grown significantly in stature and impact in the business community. Moreover, Catalyst’s revenue has doubled; its membership tripled; its brand awareness quadrupled; and its output of research reports and other knowledge products has increased tenfold.
Mr. Voser was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Shell plc. on July 1, 2009, and has served on Catalyst’s Board of Directors since April 2010. In March 2013, he was appointed Chair of Catalyst’s Board of Directors.
