September 17, 2013 — “No matter what is going on for me, and no matter who I am, [it’s important that] there’s an avenue for having conversations about difficult topics,” says Joan Buccigrossi, PhD, Director of Global Inclusion & Engagement at Rockwell Automation. Dialogue is key to creating an organization where diverse talent thrives and employees can talk candidly about gender and race.
To help encourage honest, open, non-judgmental dialogue, Rockwell Automation engaged White Men As Full Diversity Partners (WMFDP) to develop and facilitate learning labs for employees across the organization. Catalyst research has shown these labs to be effective in promoting more inclusive mindsets and behaviors among participants.
