Negin Neghabat-Wolthoff joined Catalyst in February 2013 as Communications Manager of Toronto. In her role, she manages communications projects and implements strategies to leverage the organization’s presence in Canada. Ms. Neghabat-Wolthoff also provides communications support on selected global projects. She serves as the lead contact for media in Canada.
Prior to joining Catalyst, Ms. Neghabat-Wolthoff spent most of her career working for a very large multi-national corporation, in both the U.S. and Germany. She directed a wide range of extremely high-profile global communications and marketing projects as well as post-merger-acquisitions, product introduction processes, sales channel expansions, and other business development projects.
Since moving to Canada in 2010, Ms. Neghabat-Wolthoff has worked as a freelance writer and translator. She has also served as the Marketing Manager for a publishing firm. Ms. Neghabat-Wolthoff has lived in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Iran, and China and is natively fluent in English, German, and Farsi. She is also a competent speaker of Dutch and French. She has published short stories in literary journals as well as an anthology, and she’s held the editor role for various internal and external company publications.
She holds a BA in International Business from San Diego State University with minors in English Literature and French, and an MBA with a focus in Marketing Management and Organizational Behavior, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
