As Catalyst Vice President, Strategic Engagement, Serena Fong drives positive change by leading and executing strategic communications and strategies to key stakeholders, including government leaders, policy-makers, influencers, strategic partners, Catalyst Supporter organizations and board members. She works across the organization to create and execute a compelling and impactful engagement strategy, which includes: developing highly actionable, user-friendly education and awareness-building toolkits to disseminate and implement Catalyst research, ideas, and insights; providing strategy and communications counsel as needed to drive mission impact; leading special projects such as the Catalyst CEO Champions For Change initiative; and leading and providing advice and recommendations on the development of Catalyst’s public positions on various social and governmental policies and issues. Serena positions Catalyst to give expert testimony, guidance, advice, and recommendations to governments and organizations around the world, serves as a policy expert, and gives presentations for various speaking engagements and media opportunities.
Prior to working at Catalyst, Serena was a television news producer, working for a number of broadcast news programs airing on national news networks such as ABC, Fox News, and MSNBC. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
