Catalyst’s 2016 D&I Logues Conference to Focus on Generating Positive Organizational Change Through Inclusive Leadership (Media Release)
September 14, 2016MUMBAI (September 14, 2016)—On September 29, Catalyst, the global expert on accelerating progress for women through workplace inclusion, will host its second D&I Logues Conference, which gathers together global leaders and influencers to engage in deep conversations about diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts throughout India. The event is set to explore how individuals and companies can intentionally enact four inclusive leadership behaviors—Empowerment, Accountability, Courage, and Humility (EACH)—which Catalyst research has associated with team citizenship and employee innovation.
“One of the major challenges enterprises face today is the lack of intentional leaders who make efforts to bring about a diverse and inclusive work culture,” says Deborah Gillis, President and CEO, Catalyst. “While organizations have a variety of D&I initiatives in place, they need to be implemented and monitored effectively by those who will be at the forefront of change and champion the culture of inclusion.”
Event speakers include Jagadish Bangalore, Executive Director and General Manager, Dell International Services; Anuranjita Kumar, Managing Director, Chief Human Resources Officer, Citi South Asia; Dr. NS Rajan, Group Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Group Executive Council, Tata Sons; and Jaya Virwani, Head, Diversity and Inclusiveness, EY Global Delivery Services India; Ambica Saxena, Managing Consultant, YSC; and Vikram Tandon, Head of Human Resources, HSBC, among others. Participants will attend sessions on the shifting culture of flex policies, engaging men to change organizational norms and understanding the benefits of sponsorship to leadership development. In addition, companies such as Tata Motors, GE Healthcare, Genpact and EY are scheduled to share success stories on how diversity and inclusion initiatives impacted their business growth.
“At Catalyst, we believe that change begins with ideas, and ideas can be shared when we feel safe to speak up and discuss. D&I Logues is meant to spark dialogue and informed conversation in India Inc. about the opportunities organizations have to make positive change through their leadership. It will bring about insights that help build inclusive workplaces which enable everyone to contribute and thrive,” says Shachi Irde, Executive Director, Catalyst India WRC.
