Hewlett-Packard (HP) has a long history supporting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. In fact, it was the first company to start an employee resource group specifically for its LGBT employees, PRIDE, over 30 years ago. Its LGBT efforts currently include PRIDE, community-facing events, and a unique mentoring program. Since 2008, HP has offered reciprocal mentoring to LGBT employees, allies, and executives. The purpose of the program is twofold: to develop a partnership between LGBT employees and leaders and to build an inclusive environment for all HP employees.
