MARC, Men Advocating Real Change, is a Catalyst initiative that inspires and equips men to leverage their unique opportunity and responsibility to be advocates for equity.
Who We Are
In 2009, after nearly five decades of focusing on women in the workplace, Catalyst committed to understanding the role that men play as critical agents of change. There were gaps in
the research to understand why some men were more actively involved and others absent from conversations in the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This inquiry was the seed of our Engaging Men research project and subsequent MARC (Men Advocating Real Change) initiative.
Today, with a continued focus on groundbreaking research and leading-edge programming, MARC is recognized as a pioneer and thought leader in inspiring and equipping men to advocate for
real change.
WHY MARC
MARC is committed to working with men to help them understand the unique opportunity and responsibility they have to make change—both for themselves and others. Organizations that engage with MARC create spaces for learning that invite men into the conversation—not only to support or sponsor women’s efforts, but also to partner within and across lines of gender as they take on active roles as advocates for change.
