Jacqueline Balbontín Artus,
Vice President of Human Resources at Scotiabank Chile
Jacqueline is an Industrial Civil Engineer from the University of Santiago. She was appointed Vice President of Human Resources in March 2015, an area considered key to the business, in charge of ensuring that Scotiabank is an employer of excellence and preference, and that it is perceived as such both internally and externally.
Jacqueline was part of the team that led the merger process between Scotiabank and BBVA, in charge of defining the organizational structure, trying to retain talent and preserve the Bank’s culture while maintaining high levels of engagement. She has worked for Scotiabank for more than 25 years in various areas, including Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Human Resources and Finance.
Prior to her role in Human Resources, she was director of Customer Experience. She led the implementation of the Sales and Services model in 140 branches, achieving a 200% increase in productivity in 36 months.
In 2017, she was chosen as one of the “100 Leading Women” by Mujeres Empresarias and El Mercurio. She is currently a member of the Circle of People and Organization of ICARE and of various groups of Human Resources leaders at a local and international level.
