Flip the Script: Cultural sensitivity in global workplaces

Executive summary

Many of us work with colleagues from different national, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds—particularly as companies and teams become more global, and the workforce becomes more mobile. And while we get to know our colleagues better, we don’t want to insult or devalue their heritage and history, unintentionally causing a microaggression.1 By educating ourselves and team members on inclusive language, we can steer clear of stereotypes, slurs, assumptions, and misinformation.
