Flash Talk: Many boys go through a critical moment of transition in their lives. It highlights boys’ relational strengths, which are often underestimated or overlooked, and provides accounts from a two-year study that reveals how boys become motivated to downplay their relational strengths. Consider how boys’ alignment with culturally prescribed gender norms — particularly when it results in a disconnect from themselves and others — can impact their health and happiness.
