New York, N.Y. (January 29, 2017)—Catalyst is deeply concerned by the recent Executive Order on immigration, which bars citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States for the next 90 days, blocks admission of all refugees for 120 days, and suspends indefinitely the admission of all Syrian refugees. This new policy is fundamentally inconsistent with Catalyst’s values, mission and commitment to inclusion. These actions will unfairly disrupt the lives of many immigrants, refugees, and some of the world’s most vulnerable citizens. Catalyst supports the many leaders and companies that are standing up to keep our nation’s promise: liberty and justice for all. We believe diversity and inclusion are the fabric and heartbeat of the United States—and when they are put first, we always win together.
