Historically, Haynes and Boone has had a strong reputation of promoting women. However, in recent years, firm leaders wanted to place a special emphasis on the representation of women at partner and other senior levels. To address the career advancement, promotion, and retention of these women lawyers, Haynes and Boone launched the Women’s Leadership Academy (WLA) in 2010.
The Minority Attorney Connections Program (MACP) at Haynes and Boone was launched in 2012. The goal of MACP is to provide professional development and mentorship to minority associates through one-on-one relationships with partner “connectors”—members of the Board of Directors, Admission to Partnership Committee members, or other selected senior firm leaders.
