There is no doubt that the COVID-19 crisis has created a new and often-stressful reality for employees, as they struggle to cope with not only the spread of a dangerous virus, but also lengthened periods of isolation, demanding work schedules, and busy home lives. In this new workplace reality, the need to prioritize mental health has never been greater.
How do we ensure we are aware of and addressing to the mental health concerns of employees in these challenging times? What can leaders do to better manage team members remotely, many who face growing feelings of stress and anxiety at home? Critical to the discussion – how can we ensure mental health remains a focus even after the crisis is over? For employers, empathetic leadership is key, alongside proactive efforts to increase mental health support for employees.
We were thrilled to welcome back Catalyst’s former President and CEO, Deborah Gillis, now President and CEO of The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation, Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital. Watch this webinar for a thoughtful and dynamic discussion moderated by Makelé Saïdi, Director of Corporate Engagement, Central Canada, Catalyst, as they explore strategies to prioritize mental health in the workplace, during and after the crisis.
