Executive summary
As employees increasingly demand comprehensive support during menopause, HR leaders and talent professionals are under rising pressure to meet these expectations. In today’s work environment, where wellbeing is highly valued,1 supporting menopause is no longer optional; it’s imperative. Now, employees are redefining their wellbeing expectations, calling for more personalized and holistic benefits, including targeted support for significant health conditions like menopause.2
In our survey across eight countries of 2,892 full-time employees who are currently experiencing or have gone through menopause,3 we see that 74% of respondents felt their organization was committed to employee health and wellbeing. Forward-thinking companies are stepping up by investing in adaptable wellness solutions, with 91% of employers anticipating that companies will have greater investment in mental health support in 2024.4 Remarkably, 66% of healthcare brokers reported organizations were showing heightened investment in stress management and resilience programs,5 which are crucial for women navigating menopause. And return on investment is notable — when menopause benefits are provided by an employer, 58% of women reported a positive impact on their work.6
